155th Movement

STA (School of Technology of the Arts, under RP) started a website forum where you can post whatever you have to gain constructive feedback from facilitators and students. It is a private channel, and everyone puts up photos they have taken from past years.

I asked if I could put up stories, the answer was a positive, "anything you have" he said. I put up a story, and no one wants to read it.

This is how society has turned, people.

No one wants to read words anymore, "too boring".

But I don't have a choice, do I? Even only the facilitators and administrators want to see pictures, not anything else.

But what the hell, I decided not to post there anymore, waste of time since no one wants to read it anyway.

But other than that, I'm thinking that Code Geass Season Two would be better.

And on top of that, Gary's asking me to appear on his sister's birthday as MARIO!!!

125th Movement

Okay, here goes:

I'll just get straight to the point...I'm not going to beat around the bush first and say that I'M SICK AND TIRED OF PEOPLE WHO KEEP SAYING THAT LIFE IS FRAGILE.

There, I've said it.

I mean, how many times must we hear that? In the movies...in other people's blogs...in television serials and even books! Sometimes we may even hear it from our own parents again and again like a drill sergeant waking his platoon for Morning PT.

Whenever I read other people's works, and they go "this morning my aunt Lucy died, she just went like that. I realised how fragile life is and how God can just take it away just like that", I say to myself "you are a very slow learner, you know that? I learnt that when I was six" and I bet some people learnt it when they were younger.

Sure, life IS fragile, there is no falsehood in that. But the fact that people keep repeating it over and over again makes life even more mundane, and makes me want to show them how fragile their life can be. So to everyone out there who's reading this, please please PLEASE stop saying things like these and think that you are arty farty and such. If you want to be dramatic, try Mediacorp.

118th Movement

Writing a story is never easy, especially when you don't have much support from people. There's so much pressure on writers now that even young writers go forward to write such abstract stuff such as "Sin and a Succubus" (an RP student wrote it). Whatever happened to the simple world?

Sure, some of you will say that I'm so backward now, when everyone has an Ipod Touch, I'm carrying an MP3. But some old ways are the best ways, sure, I love myths and stuff, but now it's getting more and more abstract.

Getting into the character is worse now as well, people write impossible stories of angels and demons...so how do you become an angel to act as? Like anyone of us has been an angel or demon before...

Okay, maybe it's not their fault, perhaps it's just the stress of society...

111th Movement

Children's Drama workshop is finally over, and I learnt that I really suck with kids. The relationship I built with the kids in 3 days, Geraldine did it in 3 minutes, face it, I really can't handle children well. I'd rather stick to sai kang work or the tech-geek.

Not much to talk about, but the workshop turned out okay, although Geraldine mentioned that this was not our best, and that disbanding TOG was an idea she and Kevin had. I don't know, everything's changing so fast I can't catch up with it.

109th Movement

I just need to get this off my chest.

It just disgusts me when guys just can't see that a girl cares for him and is being an emo shit because of him, like when he's sick and she says, "sorry I can't make you happy when you're sick" and he thinks she's picking a fight.

I mean, seriously, what the F**K (sorry) is that guy thinking? I mean, she's being caring and trying to find some sort of happinness in your suffering so that she can help you get your stupid mind of the illness. And you go, "are you trying to pick a fight with me?"

And it's not because the guy's an aethist and the girl's a Catholic, seriously, I think this should not even matter except in the future. Come on, I don't even think she even has the mentality to try and convert you just yet.

If I could see that guy (yes, I'm targeting this at someone but he ain't gonna read this) and meet him face to face, I swear I'll go for confession after I thrash him and deliver an RKO just to knock him out, period.

I'm sorry if this was a waste of post or offended anyone, but seriously...

81st Movement

Today (Barney voice, imagine it), we are going to talk about the MEDIA!!!

Yes, the media is a wonderful thing isn't it? It tells us what's happening around the world, what's good and what's bad and what is the best thing to do during your free time! The media in Singapore especially is what drives youths forward, to expand their creativity and in turn make Singapore a better place and a Global City for the Arts!!! So everyone, let's ALL thank PAP for the wonderful use of the MEDIA!!!

***k you (takes off Barney suit).

If the media ever tells happy things in one night, I'd say Singapore is the place to be. Global City of the Arts? PUI!!!

It's not that I'm criticising the media, or anything related to it. It's just that it's very very restricting. Lust/Caution was an R21 movie, but because of MDA, it turned into an NC16 movie. Bullshit, seriously.

The media portrays certain elements that makes it very influential, movies are one of them. Kids nowadays get their school's worth from movies, from the TV. You bring a kid to watch Mission Impossible 3 and the scene where Tom Cruise makes love to er...I can't remember her name, but he makes love to her in the hospital and they're going to ask a gazillion questions. If you don't answer, two kids of opposite sex may even try it out.

Bringing it to the next level, Sense of Home: the Anthology series (first series to be ever filmed entirely overseas...like WO~~~W...sorry for being bimbotic) is another way of MDA to show Singaporeans that Singapore is the one and only place for you. To me, it is PROPOGANDA!!! They're trying to influence young minds to STAY in Singapore, why? Because Singapore talents are running off to places mentioned in the series! Venice, China...etc.

Now, come back to the kids level. The internet now is the most dangerous tool ever, you can actually do almost ANYTHING if you knew how to. An article was posted on the notice board at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, talking about how a girl learnt about sex at age 12, after that having her first intercourse at 13 (or 14). How did she learn about it? This will shock you: she GOOGLED it.

Now, we can't blame the internet for being such a vice, after all, if we were to take these privileges away, we would probably have more unhappiness then ever. The problem lies with what the parents are doing and what schools and the MEDIA is doing. Parental control and school discipline is another argument for another time.

If you've read all the way down here, you probably have the same sentiments as me or you just think what I say is either interesting or true. If you are a PAP supporter/member or an MP, then I'd say you are ready to screw me.

I hope I don't appear in the papers for this. =$

66th Movement

Order 66 is the massacre of the Jedis in Star Wars Episode III, but no worries, doesn't mean this is the 66th Movement means I'll order some massacre of things like that. On the contrary, 66 means nothing to me.

If you guys don't know already, 6 is the number of man, don't ask me why.

I tried doing acts of random kindness at a time, like what Morgan Freeman said, but I realised if I do that, I'll take a whole lot of time to change the world, let alone Singapore. I don't think anyone can change Singapore, I mean, with all the money-hogging people out there, it's just so what the hell.

Like, today in the newspapers they were talking about the increase in sexual behaviours and more secondary girls are engaging in sex with mature men (who, as quoted by the TODAY paper, may have multiple sex partners). And what does the government do about it? Read on and you'll probably have a guess already.

They ask NUS to conduct a survey to see if there is a link with their sexual behaviour and educational level. WTF? How does educational level play a part in this? I mean, we all knew how sex is done by the time we reach secondary 2 and we all make jokes about it. And what does the school do? Bore us more with sex talks that we've heard a billion times over. If I were NUS, I'd say educational level has got nothing to do with their sexual behaviour but rather their own curiousity for the pleasure of sex and the pressure being applied on the females by the males to have sex (because after all, men don't stand to lose anything).

I wouldn't say Singapore is getting like dirt or things like that, but there are times when they go too far ahead, or away... o__0

Moving right on, without Singapore's government being in mind...

I haven't seen Priscilla (E25D one, Joel Lye and Shazly, don't think about the other one) for some time. Haven't had the chance to contact her but I know she's still alive (at least that's something!), I hope she's doing well though, I know it isn't one of the greatest things to do right now, but it's better than just sitting around and playing games.

Thinking is one of the greatest things man can do, yet one of the most harmful things as well.

Like thinking about death, why is man so afraid of death? We should embrace it, after all, death is another of God's creation. I wouldn't say death is a punishment inflicted by God, but I see death as a gift, to get out of this crazy world and into the next world. Isn't that a good thing?

Of course, depending on which world you're going to.

I have to restart my computer now, just installed new iTunes software. I'll blog later...ciao.

And here's a poster to keep a tagboard regular hyped up.

65th Movement

ERP has taken a turn for the worst (for communers, that is) since the increase of drivers on the roads. I'm sure even non-drivers feel the pain when they're on the taxi (if there are still people riding taxis since the recent hike in price) driving through the CBD, even if not true, there are those drivers who want to make the non-drivers sympathise with them.

Go down CBD in a car and you would hear your beeper play a monotonous ringtone that goes *Beep* *Beep* ...(so on and so forth, depending on how long you're traveling). If I could I would record the sound down and create a music installation for it, maybe I'll name it "ERP Gantry Tribute 2008".

Sad...but true...I never want to drive a car ever, I'll get a license for "just-in-case" use, but never drive a car.

37th Movment

National Day...let me start the blog post by saying a few things about Singapore.

1) I realised that the NDP video Shine for Singapore was copied from a Japanese Advertisement, let me say this to the creator: YOU THINK BY TAKING A NOT WELL KNOWN AD AND USING AS YOUR IDEA WILL MAKE US PROUD??? SHIT YOU!!!

2) Singapore claims to be a creative nation and "moving forward". *BEEP* that, look at how many of our local artists are going overseas and look at how many art companies are dying. So what if you build the Esplanade? Who actually goes there for the arts? "Adventurous Warriors of Creativity"? BULLSHIT

3) And then and then, there's the stupid cliched things this year's NDP has, all those stupid songs that has the same message over and over again. WHY CAN'T YOU DO SOMETHING NEW???

4) And stop saying that it's great to see so many students performing for the Day, I bet they were all forced to do it under the school rules of "THOU SHALT NOT DEFY TEACHER".

5) Why can't the commentators just shut up when the people are singing? So irritating when they just talk and talk and talk and talk about how great Singapore is and how artsy-fartsy the NDP is, *BEEP* them.

6) Can we stop the parachute stunts? It's getting a tad bit boring.

7) And what's with the weird looking costumes? I bet they were designed by some idiots from overseas, like what we're doing for the Olympics.

Yeap, I'm done, HAPPY NATIONAL DAY.
